Bilen Mazzola

I am a final year Product Design student with a strong passion for football boot design and the ambition to work within the football industry. Through my own brand, Mazzy, I hope to develop performance footwear that can one day stand alongside leading football brands. My work also explores usability, visual detail and UX/UI app design.

Mazzy is a football boot concept with an interchangeable soleplate system, designed for players who move between firm ground, soft ground and artificial turf pitches. Instead of needing three separate pairs of boots, Mazzy uses one boot with three specific soleplates that can be changed to suit each ground type. The project responds to the issues around traction, comfort, cost and versatility, while offering a more practical approach to football footwear. Mazzy also features an elegant, classic upper design and colourway, creating a clear contrast to the bold and heavily styled look of many modern football boots.
